Creator tooling
ESB Studio
A browser-first game creation environment focused on accessible world building, editing and publishing workflows.
Overview
What I built
ESB Studio explores how a modern creator tool can make world building approachable without removing the depth expected by experienced developers.
Designed a familiar professional editor layout
Built camera, grid and transform interaction prototypes
Explored terrain and world-building workflows
Planned import and publishing flows for creators
Challenge
Make the complexity understandable.
Creator software becomes complicated quickly. The interface needed to feel powerful while remaining understandable to someone opening it for the first time.
Approach
Design the system, then the screen.
Use established editor conventions where they improve learnability, while simplifying workflows and keeping the visual hierarchy focused on the scene being built.
Outcome
A foundation that can keep evolving.
A working creator-tool direction with core editor interaction patterns and a clear path toward a packaged development application.
